"If I only had more time!"
This is a universal complaint from librarians everywhere (even lands with a midnight sun!). Every day brings new agendas, new tasks and new technologies and librarians rarely say no. One possible remedy is to focus on existing practices and processes and examine the evidence base for continuing such activities.
If you were to take your library back to "ground zero", what practices would you keep and what would you discard?
This workshop will examine some of the services that we provide as a matter of routine and look at how librarian expertise, research evidence and user feedback might combine to reshape our view of what we do and how we do it. Providing a practical framework for evidence based library and information practice (EBLIP) the facilitator will help participants to engage meaningfully with the evidence base in informing their day-to-day decisions.
