International conference in Bergen 6-7 May 2010

Lena Nordheim lecturingIn 2008, Lena Nordheim was one of the contributors to the international conference on Evidence Based Practice. Registration is now open for the second conference in May.

Welcome to the conference "Turning Knowledge into Practice" for health professionals in Bergen, 6-7 May 2010. The conference is the second Bergen International Conference on Evidence Based Practice.

The main objective of this conference is to explore how to bring evidence into everyday professional practice.

The conference will address issues such as: strategies for transferring evidence into practice and how to evaluate the transfer, strategies for teaching Evidence Based Practice (EBP), and how to evaluate the teaching of EBP in different settings, including clinical practice.

Invited speakers are, among others, Andrew Booth, Nicky Cullum, Øystein Eiring and Gro Jamtvedt.

Plenary and parallel sessions

The program consists of plenary sessions, posters presentations and parallel sessions. In the paralell sessions, there is a choice between "Transferring Evidence into Practice" and "Strategies for teaching EBP".

Call for abstracts

We welcome abstracts for plenary presentations and posters focusing on how to bring evidence into everyday professional practice. Abstract submisson is open until the 15th of February.

Organisers are Centre for Evidence Based Practice at Bergen University College, Bergen, Norway. The conference venue is Scandic Bergen City Hotel.
