Educational Research

The Centre for Educational Research focuses on both what happens with educational institutions as knowledge cultures and companies - and what happens in them.

The centre deals with multiple factors regulating the formation of teacher’s professional knowledge and identity in teacher education. These factors include organizational and governing structures, didactic strategies in teacher education, relations between teacher training institutions and the practice field and issues of change.

Through this broad approach the centre aims at promoting democratic innovation, social equality and citizenship as well as contributing to knowledge-based policy decisions in higher education. 

During 2009–2015 most of the research at the Centre for Educational Research was
organized through the strategic research program Teacher Professionalism. The program
was led by Professor Thorolf Krüger.
