Centre for Innovation research conducts and report on industrial and commercial development, regional development, innovation, innovation processes and entrepreneurship.
Research is our main activity, and forms the basis for our education and facilitation activities. Our main focus is to understand the dynamics in innovation processes and how policies can be developed and used to facilitate innovation. We frequently use enterprises, networks, industrial clusters and institutions in our region as empirical cases.
We conduct our research in close collaboration with some of the best innovation research communities nationally and internationally, such as the University of Bergen, the Norwegian Business School, the University of Agder and the University of Wales.
The Centre for innovation has three main research areas:
- Innovation in enterprises, networks and industrial clusters
- Facilitating innovation
