Studies in Professional Diving
We offer a one-year vocational training program for professional divers, and hold a number of courses of shorter duration.
The one-year program is a vocational training, which provides most certificates needed as a professional diver. In addition to training in most forms of commercial diving, the curriculum includes diving physics, dive medicine, construction works, underwater blasting, hot work, salvage and pipe laying, and core subjects like mathematics and language.
A commercial diver works both above and below the watermark. Much of the work takes place on land, but when needed, the diver enters the water!
The Diver Education at Bergen University College is a vocational training which provides most certificates needed for commercial diving (except closed bell diving).
