Library Services

Library card

A library card is needed to borrow books. The University College ID card works as library card. Members of staff use their staff ID card. Other users can get a library card at the circulation desk.

Interlibrary loan

Only students and staff at the Bergen University College can make use of the interlibrary loan service.

Are you preparing a major school assignment or a research project? How about booking a librarian?

Rules and regulations

  • To borrow you must present valid ID card / library card from Bergen University College or other BIBSYS library.
  • Due date will be given by the library.
  • Documents must be returned to the library within the due date.
  • Documents borrowed from other libraries are subjects to the conditions given by the lending library.
  • The library user is responsible for all borrowed materials.
  • Lost or damaged materials must be compensated for according to library policies.
  • Change of address, or loss of of library cards must be reported to the library immediately.
  • Violation of these regulations may lead to loss of library privileges.
